Life as an International Student

Japanese Academic Counseling

What is Japanese Academic Counseling?

Language Center offers Japanese language learning assistance for international students to help clarify problems that arise when they are learning Japanese and help them resolve those problems on their own. International students are closely supported with individual and group assistance to address difficulties in classes and questions about the Japanese language learning process or studying at the university in general.

Japanese Academic Counseling

- Practice partner for Japanese communication (conversation)
- Japanese language support for questions from classes
- Advice on taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT)
- Consultations about job hunting
- Talking about difficulties and concerns

※Checking or providing advice about graduate or undergraduate classwork or reports is not offered
(because these are related to the evaluation of the student's work).
The same goes for specific researches in graduate school and master’s theses. However, if a professor asks you to have your work proofread by a native Japanese speaker, the Language Center can provide advice. Please inquire for details.
Japanese Academic Counseling is for non-native Japanese speakers who are enrolled at Musashino University.
It is held every week from Monday to Friday (1st to 4th period).
Please check on MUSCAT for application.
