Student Exchange Program (Incoming)

Musashino University recruits students for its Student Exchange Program twice a year.
Recruitment information is sent to partner schools in late September of the previous year for spring admissions
and in late March of the same year for fall admissions.
For any inquiries related to the application and other relevant matter, please consult the person in charge of the program at your school.

Application Criteria (Undergraduate)

1. Affiliation

Language Center (Ariake Campus)
Musashino University Language Center offers classes on not only Japanese language, but also Japanese culture and communication. It has a specialized syllabus for Student Exchange Program participants that teaches Japanese language and about Japan in classes designed for each level.
You can experience unique classes at Musashino University, which has welcomed numerous Student Exchange Program participants (international exchange students).
Depending on your language proficiency level and expertise, you can also take classes in other departments with regular students.
*Students who meet the following requirements can take other classes in addition to Language Center classes.

Departments teaching special subjects in Japanese
Musashino Campus Department of Japanese Literature and Culture
Ariake Campus Department of Global Communication, Department of Japanese Communication, Department of Law, Department of Political Science, Department of Economics, Department of Business Administration, Department of Human Sciences
Requirements:
(1) Achieved N1 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and can submit the certificate of results and scores during the application.
(2) Have a sufficient level of expertise in the relevant subject before the study abroad.

Departments teaching special subjects in English
Ariake Campus Department of Global Business
Requirements:
Can submit one of the following certificates during the application:
TOEFL iBT 61 or higher; IELTS Academic 5.5 or higher; TOEIC 700 or higher

2. Number of students accepted

The number of students accepted is based on the exchange agreement.

3. Program period

Half year (course period: April 2021 to July 2021)
Full year (course period: April 2021 to January 2022)

4. Tuition 

The tuition is based on the exchange agreement.

5. Accommodation

Those who are interested will be provided information on the international dormitory and the private dormitory for students.

6. Other 

- The university will specify the date for coming to Japan once you have been accepted.
 - Students in a graduate school at one of our partner schools cannot be accepted as undergraduate students at Musashino University.
- Recommendations cannot be provided for those who will no longer be registered at the partner school before the end of the exchange period at Musashino University.
(Second- and third-year undergraduate students are preferred.)

Partnership Study Abroad Program participants are affiliated with the Language Center Student Exchange Program participants in graduate school are part of the Language Center, but they also take special classes.
