新年のご挨拶
皆さま、新年おめでとうございます。
旧年中は、武蔵野大学の教育活動にあたたかいご支援を賜りましたことに心より感謝、御礼申し上げます。本年が皆さまにとりまして、また世界の生きとし生けるものにとりまして、平和で安穏な一年となりますことを念じております。
武蔵野大学は、2016年4月に新しいブランドステートメント「世界の幸せをカタチにする。」Creating Peace & Happiness for the World を宣言いたしました。本年も本学に集う学生、教員、職員がともに力を合わせて、世界の直面する諸課題を敏感に感じ取り、知恵を開き合い、課題の解決に果敢にチャレンジしてまいります。そして、このブランドを具現化するために、本年は以下の４つの課題に重点的に取り組んでまいります。
1.武蔵野大学で学ぶ学生一人一人が「アクティブな知」を獲得し、創造的に思考・表現する力を備えて、世界の課題に立ち向かう人材へと成長して社会に巣立っていけるよう、さらなる教育の質の充実につとめます。
2.本学は2016年7月、世界のしあわせを響創するための学際的な研究機関としてMusashino University Creating Happiness Incubation（武蔵野大学しあわせ研究所）を設立しました。この研究所の活動を通じて、国内外の研究機関との連携を深め、しあわせ研究の国際的なネットワークづくりに取り組みます。
3.世界に羽ばたき、世界を迎え入れる大学として国際的な評価を高めていくための教育、研究活動を推進するとともに、世界の平和の祭典である2020年東京オリンピック・パラリンピックの成功に向けて本学としての取り組みを推進してまいります。
4.本学は2024年に創立100周年を迎えます。学祖高楠順次郎博士は仏教精神に基づき、「理想が高まるに従って人格が高まり、人格が高まるに従って高い理想が現出する」と述べ、人格向上の教育を掲げられました。本学の発展を支えてこられた先人たちの願いを再確認しつつ、次の100年を見据えた長期的なパースペクティブの中で、100周年記念事業の具体化に取り組んでまいります。
本年も引き続き、本学の教育活動に対してご指導・ご鞭撻を賜りますよう、心よりお願い申し上げます。

Happy New Year!
I would like to first express my heartfelt appreciation for the warm support you extended to Musashino University's educational activities during the past year. I hope that 2018 will be a peaceful and quiet year for you and all living things in the world.
On April 2016, Musashino University released the new brand statement "Creating Peace & Happiness for the World." This year, our students, teachers, and other staff at the University will collaborate in making sense of the problems that face our planet, to show their wisdom and take on the challenge of finding solutions to our problems. Furthermore, in order to embody this brand statement, we will place priority on addressing the following four tasks:
1. We will further improve the quality of education so that each and every student who studies at Musashino University can actively acquire knowledge, cultivate the ability to think and express themselves creatively, and grow to become independent individuals who can handle global problems.
2. On July 2016, we founded the Musashino University Creating Happiness Incubation, an interdisciplinary research institute to co-create happiness in the world. Through the activities of this research institute, we will work to build an international network for researching happiness while establishing closer cooperation with other research institutes around the world.
3. We will push forward with education and research to enhance our international reputation as a university that prepares its students for the world, as well as one that receives students from the world over. We will also advance our initiatives to lead the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, a worldwide peace festival, to success.
4. In 2024, Musashino University will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Based on the spirit of Buddhism, Dr. Junjiro Takakusu, founder of the University, stated, "The higher ideal one has, the nobler one's character becomes, and the nobler one's character becomes, the higher ideal manifests itself." He emphasized the importance of education in building up one's character. While looking back at the dreams and wishes of the predecessors who have supported the development of the University, we will endeavor to create commemorative projects for the centennial from a long-term perspective, with the next hundred years in mind.

在满怀欣喜、辞旧迎新的喜庆日子里，我谨代表武藏野大学全体员工在这里祝大家新年快乐!
首先，由衷地感谢您在过去一年里默默地支持我们武藏野大学的教育活动。同时我们衷心地祈望未来的一年对诸位、以及地球上的万物生灵来说都将是一个和平稳定的一年。
武藏野大学基于不断更新、提升自我的理念，于2016年4月更换了大学的品牌宣言。新的品牌宣言是“实现全世界的幸福” Creating Peace & Happiness for the World。今年我们将一如既往地聚集全体学生、教职员工的智慧，勇敢地挑战，解决世界面临的诸多敏感性问题。为了让我们的品牌更具体化，我们结合了以下四项，作为我们新年的重要指标。
1.我们要更加充实我们的教育质量。培养每一位武藏野大学的学生掌握“能动的智慧”，具有创造性的思考能力与表现能力，挑战现今社会的各种难题，茁壮成长，展翅飞翔于各个领域，成为对社会有用的人才。
2.2016年7月，我校创办了Musashino University Creating Happiness Incubation（武藏野大学幸福研究所）。我们希望通过此研究所的活动，与国内外同性质的研究机关更紧密地合作，组成一个全球化的“幸福研究”网。
3.我们培养出来的学生不仅能展翅翱翔于世界各个领域，我们也希望能成为一所可以接纳来自世界各地的精英的大学，提高教育研究水平，提高第三者的客观评价。为2020年即将到来的世界和平祭奠“东京奥林匹克”“东京残奥” 运动会的成功做出贡献。
4.本校在2024年将迎来建校100周年。以佛教思想为理念的我校学祖高楠顺次郎教授曾经提出：“理想高远可以提升人格，人格提升了，高远的理想就自然形成了”我校的发展离不开先人的淳淳教诲，为了下一个百年计划，我们将再回首确认前辈们的理念，为大学建校百周年纪念做出更具体的事业计划，不断努力。
衷心地希望今年诸位能一如既往地指导、鞭策我们武藏野大学开展的教育活动。
