Book Purchase

Users may submit purchase requests for books which the library does not have.
Confirm the requested item is not in the library holdings via OPAC in advance.
The acceptability will be notified via e-mail.
The item will be available at the library approximately six weeks after the purchase decision is made.
Interlibrary loan or photocopy service is available for urgent requests.

  • Books necessary for faculty's research activities

  • Excessively expensive items
  • Inexpensive items
  • How-to books
  • Magazines
  • Paperbacks
  • Comic books
  • Items excessively biased towards individual interests and preferences
  • Items which official payment is impossible (ex. unavailable at bookstores)
  • CDs, audio tapes, etc.
  • Items which might violate the Copyright Act (ex. audiovisual materials)
  • Items for personal use (ex. workbooks)
  • Items which the library already has
