Notice regarding the conduct of face-to-face classes from 12 April 2021

To all students, staff and members of the University community

 

On 12 April, the government implemented special emergency measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 infections in designated regions, including Tokyo.

 

Limited face-to-face classes commenced on Friday 9 April and the University will continue to conduct these classes, at the same time observing strict protocols to prevent the spread of the virus. You are asked to refer to the Guidelines and protocols for the virus, found at (https://www.musashino-u.ac.jp/feature/policy.html).

 

It appears many people become infected with COVID-19 through participating in activities such as eating and drinking in groups. To avoid infection, we recommend you return home after classes and avoid going out to eat or drink with friends. When travelling to and from class, on public transport, please wear a mask, avoid conversation and maintain safe distance from others. Similarly, on campus, observe these protocols in consideration of yourself and others.

 

As we aim to continue our teaching and research activities in the COVID era, it is imperative we all do our best to avoid becoming infected or infecting others through risky or unnecessary behaviors. We ask all members of the University community for your understanding as cooperation in all matters concerning COVID as we seek to study and work in a safe environment.
