建築設計実務に直結したゼミ。都市フィールドワーク・市民参加型デザイン・アートワークを題材に、与条件から竣工後の運営までを建築デザインと位置付けている。

木工作品や仮設木造構築物を制作。段階的に経験することで、ものづくりの過程を学習する。

A seminar directly combined with architectural design in practice. Based on urban field works and citizen-participation-type design/artworks, the whole process from construction to operation is regarded as architectural design.
[Project]
Produce woodworks and temporary wooden constructions. By experiencing these works step by step, the process of manufacturing is studied.

地域防災と住環境、すなわちマチとイエを題材に、学術成果と同時に実社会に成果を残す研究がテーマ。災害復興と災害予防を見据えた、地域活動に取り組んでいる。

都市や建築、防災に関する教材を企画、制作。社会の動向を知り、ニーズに応えるものを制作。

Regional Disaster Mitigation, Housing Studies

[Seminar]
Taking regional disaster mitigation and living environments, i.e., “Machi (towns)” and “Ie (houses)” as themes, obtain real-world results as well as academic results. Working on regional activities towards the disaster reconstruction and disaster mitigation.
[Project]
Plan and produce teaching materials on cities, architecture and disaster mitigation. Produce materials that are helpful to understand societal trends and meet needs.

歴史地図の作成を通じて、それぞれの場所の記憶を発掘し、個々の物語に光をあてていきます。

The theme of our project is "memory and place". Through creating historical maps, we try to shed some light on narratives and discover cultural memories of a place.

Based on the concept of "Awai" (an original Japanese word meaning "between" or "relationship"), we will redefine our surrounding environment and engage in architectural practices for the community.

都市という面的環境を対象に、そこに存在する課題の解決や現象の解釈のあり方を研究する。特に生活環境が有している「時間」に関心を向ける。
