  Reasons for choosing Musashino University

When I studied at a Japanese Language School, we had a chance to talk to university representatives and ask questions. I was looking for a university where people from different countries can study together, discovering a lot of new and interesting things. Therefore, the information about Musashino University caught my eye. I found out about the Global Department and its ideology, its curriculum, and its location. Simply put, I loved everything about Musashino University. I simply found the location to be incredibly inspiring and motivating because of the large library and amazing view. Second, the study plan and the value Musashino University place on practical experience are crucial aspects. Lastly, the international atmosphere of Global Business Faculty and the opportunity to study and communicate with students and teachers from different countries was a great advantage to me.

  Learning and research content

In this department, students can acquire versatile knowledge in economics, management, accounting, and marketing, developing global perspectives. Moreover, we can study business in English, Japanese, and Chinese. For elective classes, the choice of subjects is very extensive, so students can attend courses that will be useful to their objectives and interests. Furthermore, amazing opportunities to interact with students and teachers from around the world expand the students’ horizons and give them more possibilities.

  Activities other than academic study

There are many different opportunities to enjoy school life other than classes and lectures at Musashino University. For example, I really enjoy working at the hotel as a part-timer 2-3 days a week. I am an operation manager assistant and work in reception. It gives me chances to practice Japanese and English, as well as apply my knowledge in marketing and hospitality. Moreover, working with Japanese customers is essentially useful. I learned a lot about business manners, Keigo (honorific) and gained communication skills.
Furthermore, in my free time, I go hiking with my friend outside of school. I enjoy exploring Japanese rural areas, taking pictures, and doing sports.

Remembering college life and life in Japan

The most unforgettable moment for me is the 成人式の日 (the coming of age day). I was lucky and got a chance to participate in the traditional ceremony. My City Office provided a furisode (special kimono) experience to every foreign who becomes 20 in that area. Personally, I love wearing kimonos and participating in all traditional Japanese events, therefore, it is my favorite day of being a student in Japan.

International atmosphere and professors/teachers from different countries.

  Future dream

I have decided to be a University Professor in the future. I would like to study deeply in Marketing and Branding, Global Issues, and teach people around the world. Therefore, I will continue my studies in Graduate School.

  Message to juniors

Even if the situation seems too stressful and hard to solve, never give up, and don't be scared to ask for help.  There are many people in the University, your classmates and teachers who can support you. Enjoy every day and believe in yourself!

My favorite!

Favorite food: My favorite Japanese food is Sukiyaki. It has meat, and vegetables and is not only super tasty, but healthy as well. Besides, cooking it with your closest people is always fun.
Favorite place: My favorite place to visit is Hakone. Hakone is a mountainous town known for its hot springs resorts (onsen) and views of the iconic volcano Mount Fuji. I went there for hiking and also for the usual trip.

Favorite things to do: Hiking with my friends. Every Sunday there is an international event where people from different countries gather together, do hiking, exchange news and chat a lot. After Hiking we usually go to the local onsen and relax. It is my unique way to learn about Japanese culture and explore local areas near Tokyo.
