Why did you choose Musashino University?

I have always wanted the experience of studying with both Japanese and international students. I previously studied at another university in Japan. During the COVID-19 period, all classes were held online, so I hardly had any real university experience and was unable to make friends.

At my previous university, Japanese and international students studied on separate campuses. I struggled to make Japanese friends, and due to the online classes, I also couldn’t interact much with international students. Eventually, I decided to drop out because the online system made me realize that not only could I not improve my Japanese, but I also couldn’t have a proper university life.

After doing some research on universities in Japan, I learned about Musashino University. The idea of Japanese and international students studying together really fascinated me. As a business enthusiast, I was also interested in global business, which is my major.

When I visited the Ariake Campus for the first time, I felt that this was exactly what I had always dreamed of. I was so impressed by the location and the major that I decided to study at Musashino University right away.

What are you studying at Musashino University?

Currently, I am studying Global Business. My teachers and peers are very talented, and I learn something new about business every day. I am enjoying every moment of the learning experience. The group work and presentations helped me a lot in developing my research skills. I always struggled with sharing my perspective to others. Throughout my time at Musashino University I overcame that as most of our classes are interactive. I have developed my presentation skills, writing skills and communication skills at Musashino University.

Memorable experiences from your student life at Musashino University

Everything at Musashino University is memorable to me from the classes and events to the people I meet every day. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. The teachers are also very supportive and always give their best. The idea of creating peace and happiness was true in my case. I always enjoyed my classes for the past three years. The events held by the IRO were my favorites. I always tried to join all the events. My time at Musashino University was a complete package of memories every day.

What do you think is the appeal of Musashino University?

The location of the Ariake Campus and the idea of Japanese and international students studying together are very appealing to me. I am also fascinated by the wide range of majors offered at Musashino University. The qualified teachers and excellent facilities are equally impressive. The campus offers everything a student needs, including convenience stores, a library, a career center, and a prayer room. As a student I felt like I had all the services I required.

A message to prospective students who are considering applying

As an international student, my message to future students is that you will not regret your decision to study at Musashino University. I was admitted in 2023, and I have had an incredibly enjoyable and meaningful experience. I am even considering completing my master’s and Ph.D. here as well.

Since Musashino is my second university, I can genuinely compare my experiences, and my time here has been truly wonderful. I have enjoyed it more than I ever imagined, and it is a journey I will always cherish.

My favorite!

During my time at the university, I enjoyed everything. If I had to share some specific experiences, I would highlight how I made friends not only with Japanese and international students, but also with exchange students. The events organized by IRO were another memorable experience that I will always cherish.
