The world is our campus! We nurture globally minded individuals equipped with broad perspectives and flexible thinking, ready to lead and thrive on the international stage.
Noriko SHIMADA The Dean of Faculty of Global Studies
Is the world a happy place? Unfortunately, we cannot confidently say “yes” to that question.
In today’s interconnected yet divided world, we are challenged to find ways to live together without excluding people or nations with different values and perspectives. At Musashino University’s Faculty of Global Studies, we are committed to addressing this challenge head-on. Our faculty is home to three departments: Global Communication (GC), Japanese Communication (JC), and Global Business (GB). It is the most internationally diverse faculty at the university, with students from around the world and faculty members with a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds. Each department has its own unique focus, which you can learn more about on their website. What unites all three is a shared commitment to multilingual and intercultural education. All students study English, Chinese, and Japanese, and take core courses in intercultural communication. At the Faculty of Global Studies, we aim to develop individuals who can cross linguistic and cultural boundaries, think critically from a global perspective, and understand the underlying structures of society and human behavior. Our ultimate goal is to nurture people who can contribute to building a happier and more inclusive world.
